Venues
Situated in London on the Thames Embankment, the IET's headquarters combine a historic building with modern facilities. As a former hospital, gaol and barracks, as well as being burned down by angry peasants, Savoy Place has a long and interesting history which you can read up on in our research guide.

1858 Transatlantic Cable
A seminar and evening lecture looking at the story of transatlantic communications and the 1858 telegraph cable. To be held on 28 October at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester.
